Almost anything can form a border to a picture or a graphic. It may be a simple line around the edge, a gold band to form a frame or another graphic. It's easy to add borders but programs exist to do it for you - anything from a raised aluminium frame to a burnt edge! Border clip art images are often included in DTP programs or available in bundles! Or why not do it yourself - see borders workshop on left. Will also make buttons, etc. 3.1 is free, 3.1 Pro is shareware and contains a bit more. All frames round the large graphics on this site were made using the 3D sunken #1 option. |

| A small program which uses special truetype graphic fonts to construct borders and patterns. It works out the sizes needed to fit a given page and which corner graphics are appropriate. Single colour but can easily be changed in a paint program once the graphics have been constructed. Commercial but with free demo version. |
