Image Styles has been added.This is a nice graphics generator producing patterns, textures and tiles, etc. It can also incorporate your own designs and pictures. Patterns can be animated and some examples are given. It is so versatile that I have put it in the 'miscellaneous' section. 26 February 2003 - Screensavers often produce computer generated graphics - the main interest of this site. 'Gold Lace' is one such program and excels in generating eye catching patterns with brilliant colours. Here they are static but, in my opinion, superb. The program itself produces ever moving displays which can be modified and made personal. Gold Lace. 24 January 2003 - XaoS is a fractal generating program which can produce some nice graphics as shown here. It is worth having a look at for it's ability to produce superb high speed zooms and the fact that it is available free under the auspices of the Free Software Foundation . XaoS. 23 December 2002 - Added 'Atriatix' another from the wonderful Stephen Ferguson stable. This one deals with the more unusual Gumowski-Mira plots rather than the Mandelbrot types - see 'Plots & Fractals. Atriatix. 25 September 2002 - Wow! 3 updates in one month - unheard of!  A slideshow of some examples from each section is now up and running. It displays images at 640x480 and preloads them so hopefully it should not be too clunky for ordinary modem users 8-)    To see where any slide originated from, click on it. 20 September 2002 - Included Vchira in the 'Plots & Fractals' section. I think it is the best of the Stephen Ferguson fractal generators. See what you think. Vchira. 12 September 2002 - The site using frames has gone! Everyone preferred the pages one and it is much easier to update and add to. New pages have been added on Flash actionscript in the Patterns section. How Actionscript can be used to produce quite complicated patterns using just a few lines of code. 31 July 2002 - Two sites now, side by side. One, the old one, still uses frames. The other uses conventional pages. The content is the same. What makes the frameless site possible is the wonderful 'Static Slide Menu' script by Maximus (http://maximus.ravecore.com/index.shtml). It is now possible to scroll the page and still keep the menu to hand on the left side - see what you think. Before anybody asks about the trees, they are fractals made up from 'growth', a 'Painter' effect. In the future I shall probably drop the frame site altogether. 21 June 2002 - Two pattern making programs from Spelunk Computing. 'Curvay' plots the intersection of 2 variable waves to produce patterns which can be filled with colour. 'Shapari' uses various block shapes which can be manipulated into simple or complex patterns including iterated fractals. It also includes a pattern matching game. The interface of both programs is simple and easy for children to use. Find details in the patterns section. 4 May 2002 - Welcome to a new pattern maker 'E-volve'. See the pattern section for samples and details. 12 April 2002 - Oh dear! On checking through the site I'm afraid several of the links have had to be corrected. I think I've got them all but please email me if you find any mistakes. Yet more sites have disappeared and I cannot find any trace of them! 5 November 2001 - Meet Wilbur and the GIMP! This program is quite brilliant. As well as doing all the photo manipulation stuff, it will also generate the most beautiful computer generated images (which is what this site is all about!). It's listed under 'Miscellaneous' because it's so versatile and will do everything! And it's FREE! 26 July 2001 - Complete design update. What do you think? Render Gold draws 3D buttons, flowers, backgrounds, etc. 12 April 2001 - In spite of some reservations - rollover menus implemented 19 & 21 March 2001 - 'Kali' and 'Taprats' added to the Patterns section. They are both Java applications. Kali draws complicated 'simple' patterns   8-)    and Taprats draws Islamic type patterns similar to those in the Alhambra Palace in Spain 16 February 2001 - After a temporary absence due to circumstances beyond my control, the site resurfaced hosted on a different server - thanks 'Yoyo'. I now hope to get it going again with more frequent updates and some more wonderful graphics! 14 November 2000 - 'Illusionae', a wonderful texture generator added to the textures section. 24 examples included - I can't stop making them! 14 October 2000 - 'YinYang' added to Plots section.
